Christian coach Jill Monaco has begun a new six-week Living Free group program focused on contemplative prayer, spiritual reflection and the patterns that can keep people feeling disconnected from their faith. The online cohort started September 15 and combines Monaco’s teaching with live coaching, personal exercises and optional community participation.
A discipleship program with coaching support
Living Free is structured as a discipleship resource rather than a conventional self-paced course alone. Participants receive recorded material and a workbook, while the group option adds live online meetings led by Monaco. Those sessions give members space to ask questions, discuss the material and work with the practices in real time.
The program centers on what Monaco calls the Freedom Framework. Early material focuses on noticing how a person experiences prayer and discerns God’s voice. Later work turns toward maintaining that connection in daily life, especially when fear, shame, unforgiveness or protective habits begin to shape reactions and relationships.
Contemplative prompts connect teaching with daily practice
Quiet-time prompts, prayer guides and reflective exercises are used to move the material beyond weekly meetings. Participants are encouraged to examine belief patterns, emotional defenses and personal narratives while developing practices they can return to between sessions. The program also includes a private online community for people who want peer conversation and shared reflection.
Living Free does not require participants to disclose personal experiences in a group. Its community component is presented as an option, allowing people to engage at a level that fits their circumstances. A separate one-to-one coaching session is included in the program’s individual-support pathway.
Monaco draws on coaching and lived experience
Monaco is the founder and chief executive of Jill Monaco Ministries, a nonprofit she established to support people pursuing Christian faith and freedom. She holds the Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation and is also a certified trauma-informed coach. Her Freedom Coaching model combines prayer, listening and coaching tools, and she trains other leaders through a separate certification program.
Her approach has also been shaped by her experience of spiritual and physical abuse by religious leaders, a history she discusses as part of her advocacy for people seeking hope after harmful experiences. Living Free places that perspective inside a structured group format without presenting the program as medical or psychotherapeutic care.
The new cohort gives independent faith-based practitioners an example of how contemplative material can be organized across recordings, live guidance and community support. More importantly for participants, it creates a defined six-week rhythm for practices that can otherwise remain private, irregular or difficult to sustain alone.
