The EDGE Model: A New Nestioo Framework for Working With Life Transitions

The EDGE Model is a Nestioo framework that combines conversation, somatic awareness and Light Body meditation to support people through life transitions.

The EDGE Model is a structured approach for working with people who find themselves between an old life chapter and a new direction that has not yet become clear.

Developed by Tomislav Tomić, founder of the Nestioo Method, the model is taught within the Certified Light Body Meditation Teacher Training and gives students a practical framework for combining guided conversation, somatic awareness and Light Body meditation during transitional periods.

EDGE stands for:

E: Explore what no longer fits
D: Detect the energetic response
G: Give space to the emerging frequency
E: Embody what begins to stabilize

The model was created for situations in which a person can already sense that a job, relationship, identity, role or way of living no longer fits as it once did, but cannot yet clearly define what should come next.

Working with the transition before the next direction is clear

Life transitions often create a gap between what is ending and what has not yet fully formed.

People may know that something needs to change while still lacking a clear answer about what the next step should be. In those moments, the pressure to decide quickly can make the transition harder to navigate.

EDGE begins by looking more closely at the change that is already taking place.

In the first stage, Explore what no longer fits, the teacher uses structured conversation to help the person identify where their relationship with their current life has started to change.

This may show up as a loss of interest, greater resistance, a stronger inner “no,” or the growing sense that a familiar role or direction no longer reflects who the person is becoming.

The Nestioo Core Module describes a similar process during Vibe Recalibration, where “things that once felt normal may no longer feel aligned.”

The second stage, Detect the energetic response, moves the process from discussion into direct experience.

The person is invited to notice what happens in the body while connecting with the area of transition. There may be openness, curiosity or movement, but there may also be pressure, heaviness, tightness or discomfort.

Within the Nestioo Method, these broad responses are described as Expansion Mode and Contraction Mode.

The teacher does not treat them as automatic answers. Tightness does not necessarily mean “no,” just as openness does not automatically mean “yes.” The purpose is to notice how the system is responding before assigning meaning to that response.

This part of the process also draws on Somatic Presence, one of the central practical ideas in Nestioo. The Core Module summarizes the principle as:

“Somatic Awareness is where we begin. Somatic Presence is how we practise.”

Creating space for what is emerging

The third stage, Give space to the emerging frequency, moves the process more directly into Light Body work.

A person going through a transition may not yet know what they want next. Instead of forcing an early answer, the teacher helps establish an appropriate Nestioo Intention and guides the person through a Light Body meditation process.

One of the ideas behind this stage comes from the Nestioo principle that “vibration is information.”

From that perspective, the next stage of life does not necessarily begin with a clear mental picture of the future. The person’s energy field may first need to become more familiar with the inner qualities that support the next stage of growth.

That may involve greater clarity, courage, trust or stability, depending on what the person is moving through and what their system is ready to support.

The Nestioo Core Module describes a similar process in Vibe Recalibration, one of the core processes taught within the module, where “things that once felt normal may no longer feel aligned.”

This idea is central to EDGE.

The person can begin preparing internally for a future they may not yet be able to describe clearly.

From inner shift to everyday life

The final stage, Embody what begins to stabilize, returns the process to everyday life.

After the meditation or conversation, the person may notice that the original issue no longer carries the same weight. Something that felt complicated may seem easier to approach, a different thought may come into view, or an option that once seemed important may no longer hold the same attraction.

Sometimes there is no immediate sense that anything has changed. In Nestioo work, some shifts only become noticeable later, through the way we think, choose and respond in everyday life.

Practical action still matters, but it may begin to come from a different inner place. The Core Module describes this clearly:

“When change happens at the level of subtle energy patterns, it doesn’t eliminate action. It changes the place from which action arises.”

The final EDGE stage explores what, if anything, now feels more natural. That may mean having a conversation, trying something different, stepping away from something that no longer fits, or simply giving the process more time before acting.

The next step does not need to be significant. It only needs to reflect what is beginning to feel more established within the person.

A broader role for the Light Body Meditation Teacher

The EDGE Model also reflects the way the professional role of a Certified Light Body Meditation Teacher is understood within Nestioo.

The teacher is not trained only to explain meditation principles or lead a sequence of instructions.

Students also learn how to participate more actively in the process surrounding the meditation. This can include structured conversation before the practice, recognizing the person’s somatic and energetic state, helping establish a clear direction for the meditation, facilitating the Light Body process and supporting integration afterward.

The teacher does not decide what the person should do or interpret the person’s experience on their behalf.

This reflects the wider logic of the Nestioo Method, which is built around Intention, Forms and Allowing.

Intention gives direction. Nestioo Forms create space. Allowing reduces interference so that the deeper process can unfold.

“People often know what no longer fits before they know what should come next,” says Tomić. “I developed EDGE because I wanted Light Body Meditation Teachers to have a clear framework for working with that stage of change. The next chapter does not always have to be intellectually defined before the person can begin preparing for it.”

About the Nestioo Method

The Nestioo Method, founded by Tomislav Tomić, is a contemporary approach to Light Body work based on Intention, Nestioo Forms, Somatic Presence and Allowing.

The method works with subtle energetic patterns that, within the Nestioo framework, influence thoughts, emotions, reactions and the way a person experiences life.

The Certified Light Body Meditation Teacher Training prepares students to apply Nestioo meditation principles in work with others and includes the EDGE Model for working with people during periods of life transition.
