Independent life coach Rosie Nixon has launched her first self-paced coaching course, extending a career-reinvention framework previously used in her private practice and recent book into an eight-lesson digital program.
The Career Confidence Reset went live on September 4 with eight recorded lessons, nine activity worksheets, guided reflections and journaling prompts. It is intended for people examining a possible career change without requiring them to attend scheduled classes or commit immediately to a new professional direction.
A course for the stage before action
The program is organized around Nixon’s PRO Method, which divides the process into Pause, Reflect and Organise. Rather than starting with applications, resignations or business plans, the course first asks participants to create enough distance from daily pressure to examine what they want to change.
The Reflect stage concentrates on values, accumulated experience and personal strengths. Organise then moves from exploration toward realistic goals and a roadmap that participants develop through the course exercises.
Nixon’s launch announcement identifies several possible starting points, including searching for another role, considering self-employment, clarifying a business idea or quietly investigating alternatives before making a decision. Although the course was developed primarily with midlife women in mind, Nixon says the material may also be relevant to men at similar career crossroads.
Nixon’s own transition sits behind the framework
Before moving into coaching, Nixon spent more than 25 years in senior media roles and served as editor-in-chief of HELLO! magazine. She later retrained, established an independent portfolio business at 50 and qualified as a coach at ACC level through the International Coaching Federation.
That experience informed the PRO framework, which also forms the basis of Nixon’s book The PRO Method. Master coach Ruth Kudzi supported the development of the new course, according to the official program information.
The digital version can be completed over a few concentrated days or spread across several weeks. Access is not tied to a completion deadline, allowing participants to revisit the recorded material and written exercises.
Turning practitioner knowledge into a reusable format
The launch is relevant to independent coaches because it shows a practitioner moving one central method across several forms of delivery. Nixon’s framework now operates through a book, individual coaching and a self-directed course rather than remaining limited to appointments with private clients.
Those formats are not interchangeable. The public course description emphasizes independent work and does not list live sessions, personal feedback or individualized assessment, which means participants must interpret the exercises and make their own decisions about what follows.
The course has not been independently evaluated, and its availability does not establish that it will produce successful career changes. The newsworthy development is more specific: Nixon has turned a method shaped by her own professional transition into a structured digital offering that can operate separately from her one-to-one practice.
