Unified Mindfulness is opening a new cohort of its Pathways training on September 26, offering participants a route toward the organisation’s Certified UM Coach credential.
The programme combines live instruction with practical teaching experience. Participants work with Unified Mindfulness methods during the training and then move into an eight-week practicum in which they teach a complete course to real students, either individually or in a group setting.
Training continues beyond the classroom
According to Unified Mindfulness, the practicum is designed so that participants are not only learning a teaching framework but actually using it before completing the programme. During this stage, trainees receive ongoing group support while delivering the course in a setting that fits their own work or community.
The organisation describes Pathways as a skills-based mindfulness training rather than preparation to teach one fixed protocol. Its approach centres on three core skills — concentration, sensory clarity and equanimity — with participants learning how different practices can be used to develop those capacities.
Unified Mindfulness also positions Pathways as the entry point to its longer teacher-training route. Completion of the programme qualifies graduates for its advanced Compass training, which runs as a separate year-long programme.
The September cohort begins later this month
The upcoming Pathways cohort, identified by Unified Mindfulness as P28, begins on September 26, 2026.
By the end of the training, participants who complete the required work receive the Certified UM Coach credential and leave with an eight-week mindfulness course they have already taught under supervision.
