Mindfulness Now, the training organization behind the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation, will hold its next five-day online Mindfulness Teacher Training course from March 8 to 12, 2027. Delivered live via Zoom, the program combines mindfulness theory, guided practices, and practical teaching experience for people interested in becoming qualified mindfulness teachers.
The course will be led by Madeleine Agnew and Nick Cooke and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. UK time each day.
What Participants Will Learn
The training introduces participants to the Mindfulness Now approach, which brings together elements of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Rather than focusing exclusively on personal meditation practice, the course explores how mindfulness can be taught to other people. Participants work with mindfulness exercises, teaching methods, and the practical considerations involved in leading individual sessions and groups.
The program also introduces ways mindfulness can be applied in educational, workplace, health, and wellbeing settings.
How the Online Training Works
Although the program takes place online, it follows the same training structure as the college’s in-person courses.
Sessions include tutor demonstrations, group discussions, guided practices, and opportunities to practise teaching with fellow participants. Zoom breakout rooms allow students to work in pairs and smaller groups, making the training interactive rather than simply a series of lectures.
Participants receive access to digital course materials, including a downloadable training manual.
Who Is the Training For?
The program is intended for people who want to teach mindfulness professionally, including those working in coaching, education, healthcare, counselling, and the wider wellbeing sector.
It may also appeal to experienced mindfulness practitioners who want to develop their teaching skills or introduce structured mindfulness programs into their existing professional work.
The organizer describes the training as a vocational course with no formal entry requirements.
Qualification and Professional Development
The five-day program leads to a mindfulness meditation teacher training qualification approved by the British Psychological Society, according to the organizer.
The course fee includes training materials, assessment, and certification. Mindfulness Now also offers post-qualification support and continuing professional development opportunities. Graduates can explore membership of the Mindfulness Teachers Association.
