The Yoga Clinic Opens Palm Springs Studio Around Movement, Mindfulness and Recovery

The Yoga Clinic has opened a Palm Springs studio combining yoga, mindful practices, stability work, private coaching and small events.

The Yoga Clinic has opened a purpose built studio in Palm Springs, California, expanding its work into a permanent setting for group classes, private coaching and special events. The new space at 1701 North Palm Canyon Drive brings together movement, mindfulness and recovery in a desert inspired environment designed to reduce distraction.

A class system built around different aims

The studio’s programme is organised into three principal areas: Vinyasa, Mindfulness and Stability. Introductory and more advanced versions allow students to choose a practice suited to their experience and current goals. Sessions range from 60 to 75 minutes, with selected Vinyasa classes available both in person and online.

Vinyasa I uses accessible sequences informed by hatha and astanga traditions, while Vinyasa II adds greater complexity and intensity. Stability I focuses on balance, joint strength and spinal alignment through yoga therapeutics, yin practice and resistance training. Stability II moves into standing balance, arm balances, inversions and backbends for students ready to work on form and progression.

Mindfulness beyond seated meditation

The Mindfulness classes broaden the studio’s definition of contemplative practice. One format brings together restorative yoga, sound baths, guided meditation, yoga nidra and breathwork. Another uses tai chi, dance and therapeutic yoga to explore an active form of meditation while keeping the movement gentle and adaptable.

Private work is also part of the model. Longer sessions build individual sequences around strength, balance, flexibility and breathing, while shorter appointments concentrate on mobility and recovery for particular areas of the body. A five session immersion gives people who are new to yoga a structured introduction and a personalised sequence for continued home practice.

A platform for local practitioners

The Yoga Clinic has equipped the studio with mats, water and a full set of props. It is also making the room available to other wellness instructors for their own classes and workshops, adding a collaborative function to the new premises. Planned programming includes sound bath sessions, posture focused workshops, outdoor yoga and a mind body series drawing on tai chi, qigong, movement therapy and meditation.

This breadth distinguishes the opening from a conventional timetable centred mainly on flow classes. The Yoga Clinic is combining physical conditioning, meditative practice and individual support under one roof, with entry points for beginners as well as experienced students. Its Palm Springs base now gives that approach a visible home and creates a small local platform for teachers working across related movement and mindfulness disciplines.
