Grounded Ember Opens Muskego Studio for Heated and Restorative Yoga

Grounded Ember Yoga & Wellness has opened a Muskego studio with heated flow, gentle movement, Yin yoga, breathwork and meditation.

Grounded Ember Yoga & Wellness has opened its first studio in Muskego, Wisconsin, bringing a schedule of heated and non-heated yoga to a permanent home after a summer of community pop-ups. The studio opened on September 26 at W137S6336 Suite 1 Janesville Road, with an approach centered on movement, breath, grounding and connection.

From pop-ups to a weekly studio

Founder Cassandra developed the studio after teaching outdoor and community sessions around Muskego, Franklin, New Berlin, Hales Corners and Oak Creek. Those early classes included lakeside practice, gentle flow, breathwork and meditation, allowing the business to build local relationships before opening its own doors.

The permanent schedule carries that accessible structure into a more consistent setting. Grounded Ember is designed for beginners as well as people returning to movement after stress, injury or time away, with teachers offering options rather than treating intensity as the only route into practice.

A mix of heat, stillness and breath

The weekly lineup includes Power Heated Flow at 96 degrees and Gently Heated Flow at 86 degrees. The stronger format uses vinyasa sequencing to build heat and strength, while the gentler version slows the pace and uses lighter warmth for students seeking a calmer entry point.

Non-heated sessions broaden the offering beyond hot yoga. Yin Yoga uses longer, supported holds and a quieter pace, while Grounded Flow and Breath Meditation combines gentle movement with breathwork and a grounding meditation. An upbeat Saturday power class adds a music-led weekend option, and Sunday remains free of scheduled classes for rest and recovery.

A studio shaped by lived experience

Cassandra’s vision grew partly from her own recovery after a severe back injury during pregnancy. That experience changed how she related to movement, shifting the emphasis from pushing through discomfort toward slowing down, breathing and rebuilding a connection with the body.

The resulting studio is intentionally framed as a place for real bodies and real life, rather than a performance-driven environment. Its combination of strong and soft classes gives students several ways to participate, from energizing early-morning flows to restorative evening practice.

For smaller yoga businesses, the opening also offers a clear example of community-led expansion. Grounded Ember used recurring classes and local collaborations to establish its character before moving into a dedicated space, then translated the practices that resonated into a compact weekly timetable. The schedule spreads classes across mornings and evenings, giving the new location several entry points for regular practice.
