Embodied Flow is running a 100-hour Somatic Kundalini training at The Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali, from October 3 to 13, 2026. The ten-day in-person program brings together non-dual tantric meditation, chakra study, mantra, somatic movement and embodied approaches to kundalini practice.

Kundalini through a somatic lens

The training approaches kundalini through both traditional tantric material and body-based inquiry. Daily practice includes non-dual tantric meditation and sutra study, alongside investigation of the chakra system and tantric texts concerned with kundalini. Participants also explore the main energy centers through an embryological perspective, adding an anatomical and developmental lens to material that is often taught primarily through subtle-body maps.

Goddess mantras and related text study form another part of the curriculum. Somatic free movement is used as a way to explore and integrate experiences associated with kundalini shakti, while the program also addresses what it means to hold space for oneself and others during activation experiences.

The result is a training that does not treat kundalini as a single technique. Meditation, textual study, movement, mantra and somatic investigation are used as distinct but connected ways of examining the subject.

Ten days at The Yoga Barn

The program is non-residential and takes place at The Yoga Barn, which has served as an Embodied Flow training location in Ubud since 2016. The schedule begins at midday on October 3 and concludes on October 13. Daily organic brunch and an in-depth training manual are included as part of the learning format.

No formal prerequisite is required, although previous experience with yoga, embodiment or meditation is described as helpful. The 100 hours can count toward Embodied Flow continuing education and Yoga Alliance continuing education units, positioning the program for both practitioners exploring the material personally and teachers extending existing training.

The October intensive reflects a broader shift in advanced yoga education toward crossing the boundaries between movement, contemplative study and subtle-body practice. Somatic Kundalini makes that combination explicit. Rather than presenting energetic awakening separately from the body, it places sensation, movement and embodied inquiry alongside classical tantric frameworks throughout the ten-day curriculum.
